Our opening times are:

  • Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00PM to 5:00pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00PM to 5:00pm

However, if you need to collect your pet at a different time we will try to be as flexible as possible. Just let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate your needs.

Yes, we provide beds with a vet bed interior for each dog, which is checked daily for cleanliness and changed accordingly. However, you are welcome to bring a small blanket if you wish, to make your dog feel more at home.

Yes, please feel free to bring your own food. We will discuss your dog's needs and make sure that she is fed according to your usual routine.

We highly recommend a kennel cough vaccination although it is not compulsory and the final choice is yours. However, we do insist that your dog has an up-to-date vaccination certificate, so please make sure that you bring this with you when boarding your dog at Valentines.

Yes you can – just let us know when you would like to collect him. There are lots of lovely dog walks in the area and dogs are allowed on some beaches in Dorset all year round. Have a look at the dog walks that are available and find out what beaches are open to dogs on this page.

There is a wide range of attractions in Dorset, all of which are within a 40 mile radius of Valentines Kennels. Have a look at this page to see what is available. Some of the attractions are happy for you to take your dogs. For example, Farmer Palmers has some kennels that are available on a first-come first-served basis. Yes, we are happy to take day boarders. We charge £20 for day visitors. Contact us in advance of your holiday so that we can make sure that we have space and can book your dog in.
